This guide book targets undergraduate students preparing for their first short or long term international internship or study abroad program. Its aim is to provide a practical guide that will enable students to effectively prepare for their international sojourn. This will be achieved through a combination of theoretical concepts and their practical application primarily within the field of Intercultural Communication studies. The publication will thus offer brief descriptions of the basic concepts of Intercultural communication, in the context of cultural adaptation and relocation, followed by introduction of the key intercultural skills. To allow for a more hands-on experience, (self-)reflective exercises and activities are included for the students to apply their learnings.
