This prestigious book of photographs, taken by Martin Frouz and his collaborators, presents the figure of Emperor Charles IV and his activities in five thematic sections. It covers Charles University, Charles’s ancestors, his work as a statesman, the historical period itself as well as his legacy for the present day. This book was published under the auspices of the Rector of Charles University and commemorates 700 years since Charles IV’s birth.
