Ophthalmology Basics is a book intended primarily for medical professions at the bachelor degree level; it may however be also used as a basic overview of ophthalmology for students of master’s degree medical disciplines. It is based on lectures delivered by teachers at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, and the Central Military Hospital in Prague, and in addition to basic information, it also contains clinical experience. The scholars aimed to present information in an organized and comprehensible manner, which is also achieved through the distinction of basic information from higher-order facts by using different text color and by referencing other materials. The book contains extensive pictorial documentation which enhances the illustrative nature of the book.
